The Group Therapist

The voice types are designed to be able to be sung by sopranos or mezzo-sopranos, predicated by the singers that are available. The opera can be performed in any performing space: a theatre, a recital platform, an arena or thrust stage, or in any found space. Hence it can be done by the smallest of opera companies or as an extra project for a larger one. It could even be done as a fund-raiser in a donor’s home. The wives are portrayed as ordinary women. Their husbands are the monsters, not them.
