The wives of famous classic movie monsters meet

for a group therapy session.

Time period: The present

Cast of Characters:

Mrs. Nosferatu, soprano

Mrs. Jekyll-Hyde, soprano

Mrs. Invisible Man, soprano

Mrs. Wolfman, mezzo-soprano

Mrs. Mummy, mezzo-soprano

The Group Therapist, mezzo-soprano

The voice types are designed to be able to be sung by sopranos or mezzo-sopranos, predicated on the singers that are available.

The suggestions for voice types are meant to be a general guide.

The wives should be portrayed as ordinary women,

though there should be significant contrast in their clothing.

Their husbands are the monsters, not the wives.

Each of the wives has an aria.

The opera can be done in virtually any performing space from a recital hall to an arena or thrust stage to a proscenium.

It would even adapt itself to a large living room.

Plus, an all female cast is always welcome

to university programs and small opera companies.

Perusal materials available upon request.
